source $PET_HOME/pkgs/ptoolsrte/etc/ptoolsrte.cshrc [or .bashrc]

to access the following tools listed in BC Policy FY10-02:

Python (General Purpose Scripting Language)
NumPy (Numerical Arrays and Linear Algebra in Python)
PyMPI (Python Message Passing Interface)
SciPy (Scientific Python)
Octave (MATLAB Clone)
Matplotlib (Scientific 2-D and 3-D Plotting)

CSE Package
Access: Please use the following two commands in that order:

module use <INSTALLATION LOCATION>/modules/COTS
module load cseinit cse-tools

The <INSTALLATION LOCATION> used in the first command is as follows:

Site (system) Installation Location
Utility Servers (ALL): /app/CSE/CSE
AFRL (raptor): /app2/cse/CSE
ARL (harold, pershing): /usr/cta/CSE
ERDC (diamond, garnet): /usr/local/usp/cseb_cse/CSE
NAVY (haise, kilrain)): /site/cse/CSE

 

Thus, for the ARL DSRC machines the first command will read:

module use /usr/cta/CSE/modules/COTS

The cseinit module, used in the second command, assists the user by loading the compiler and mpi version that were used to build CSE. If the user does not wish to have CSE assist with the compiler and mpi versions a module named cseinit-devel is available. It should be noted when using the cseinit-devel that the user could possibly encounter compiler and mpi conflicts, undefined references, or other issues.

To list all modules and applications available within the CSE package, use the command:

module avail
