Topic: Add Subversion to Open Source Utilities

Subversion is a replacement for and an update to CVS, the utility currently listed in BC Project FY06-19. While some users no doubt would prefer to continue to use CVS, Subversion offers some substantial improvements to it. I recommend you add it to the list of installed utilities.

The Baseline Configuration (BC) team has reviewed your input, and has decided to add the open source utility Subversion to the core set of utilities listed in BC policy Common Set of Open Source Utilities (FY06-19). The updated version of BC policy FY06-19 will be released on the BC Web site on September 5, 2008.
