Common Interactive Access
Background on BC Team Action
On March 22, 2007, a user informed the BC team the following: Interactive computing needs to extend beyond the resources of the distributed interactive HPC testbed and become more of a mainstream supported item.
The BC team informed the user on August 11, 2008 that the team was already working on a BC project entitled "Common Interactive Access."
Further Interaction by the BC team with other HPCMP working groups led the team believe that the BC project "Common Interactive Access" could best be implemented by the HPCMP Workload Management Team (WMT). Subsequently, the BC team approached the WMT, and by mutual agreement the "Common Interactive Access" project was passed on to the WMT in March 2008.
