Data Removal at Account Closure
Background and BC Team Action
In 2007, the BC team initiated the project "Data Removal at Account Closure" to establish policies on the removal of data when a user is no longer eligible for a given HPCMP account either on a system at any site or all systems in the HPCMP inventory.
After many in-depth discussions among BC team members it was decided that the subject of data removal was an important component in the ongoing DoD HPCMP cross-center Storage Initiative (SI) efforts, and therefore, it should be addressed and followed on by the SI initiative team.
Subsequently, the BC team referred this project to the SI initiative team.
