Common System Status MonitoringBackground and BC Team Action In 2006, BC team initiated the project "Common System Status Monitoring" to provide DoD HPCMP users information on the status of all allocated HPC systems through a Web interface. Investigation by the project lead revealed that each of the centers provided some information on system status on their Web sites but there was no "single solution" that met all the desired requirements. During these preliminary investigations, the BC team also found out that the DoD HPCMP ezHPC team was working on and testing a similar project at ERDC. At the April 3, 2008 BC team Teleconference, the BC team decided that the project Common System Status Monitoring was more suited as an ezHPC task than a BC policy. On April 7, 2008, the BC team officially approached ezHPC team with the request that they take ownership of the project. On April 9, 2008, ezHPC confirmed receiving BC team's recommendation. |
