archival retrieval The archive command from pstoolkit.org will be implemented on participating HPCMP systems. This special-purpose command will be wholly concerned with accessing, manipulating and moving files between the SITE archival system and SITE client systems. No remote access (external to the site) will be supported. The command will be available to, and usable by interactive and batch jobs. The archive command from pstoolkit.org is well formulated, documented and extensible. The implementation of the archive command is designed to be site specific and will require sites to consider archival locality, transport and security implications. The archive command should be placed in the local utility directory of each site to ensure separation from existing archive commands. It should also be documented with other local utility documentation. The following subcommands should be implemented for compliance: put, get, ls, stat, and mkdir. |
