Using KRB5 with an hToken

Step 1: Place the hToken into a working USB port.

Step 2: Open the KRB5 application by clicking on the “krb5” icon on your desktop, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 3:Click on File > Options, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 4: Validate that your Options appear as shown in Figure 3.

Step 4a: If they do not, click the “Attempt PKINIT” checkbox.

Step 4b: Click the “OK” button.

Step 5: Ensure that your user name and realm are correct.

Step 6: Click Login

Step 7: Enter your pin number (see Figure 4) and click the “OK” button.

Step 8: Receive authentication (shown in Figure 5).

The ticket is good for login to a system for 1 hour and once transferred to an HPC, is good for 10 hours.
